Freshly returned from winning the Trophee Harpe Camac at the Festival Interceltique De Lorient, a dear friend and fellow harpist, Elinor (Ellie) Evans provided us with a fabulous lunchtime recital at St Mary's Cathedral, which included the set she performed in France.
Ellie won a camac harp at the Festival in France and will be collecting this in Paris. You can follow more on this by visiting her website: http://www.elinorevansmusic.co.uk
Following Ellie's recital I enjoyed a fringe show up in Chambers Street - 'The Accidental Adventures of Sherlock Holmes'...great fun! On the way back to the car I listened to some street performers making some fantastic music and grabbed the opportunity to jam with the guitarist on the kodo drums.
A lovely day out at a variety of gigs....nice warm up to my own contribution on Saturday 22nd August!!
