Trying to think through my rationale. This level of analytical approach, about my own thinking, is something I am finding very hard to develop.
However the key words that are coming up for me are still: Madrigal; Andragogy; Learning; Reception; Repertoire.
New key words coming to mind as I progress the project are: Pedagogy; Society/Community; Attitudes; Motivation;
I am scared that my research reading is expanding beyond the needs of the project. I feel I need to take a step back and review what exactly am I looking for? A question my supervisor also asked me this week with regard to my surveys.
Wish I could attend the following:
Guest Lecture: Juniper Hill
Title of Lecture: 'Pedagogy for the Development or Inhibition of Creativity'
Abstract of lecture:
This talk will explore how a variety of informal, nonformal, and formal learning experiences can foster or hinder the development of the skill sets, attitudes, and motivation that enable creativity. Insights are drawn from extensive comparative research among musicians in northern Europe, South Africa, and the United States that was conducted between 2008 and 2013 with the support of Humboldt, Fulbright, and Marie Curie Fellowships.
